Vision Statement
Our vision at Precious People is to provide a caring, stimulating atmospheres for all children to develop and express their skills and talents. We are a Christian school that desires to build a strong foundation for each child, emphasizing basic family values and beliefs, and cultivate in every child a strong sense of self-worth. Programs will promote self-esteem, while encouraging each child to develop respect for others and a sense of responsibility and self-control.

Philosophy
We believe that each child is a gift from God and a treasure of talents, which deserve to be appreciated and fostered in a loving and positive environment. We recognize that each child is an individual and will learn at his/her own pace. With the help of guiding and encouraging teachers, the students will have the opportunity to learn through cooperative activities, receive positive reinforcement or making correct choices, have the opportunity to bond with other children, and develop friendships. The relational, social, and mental values will form a foundation that will surround each child as he/she enters the next level of development.

Purpose
Our purpose is to create an environment that fosters individual children’s growth and development in social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual ways. The curriculum consists of programs that will provide the children with exciting, interesting, and challenging opportunities to experience the joy of learning and the feeling of success.

Meet Our Staff

Director: Miss Jennie
Miss Jennie has been the director since the fall of 2020. She is the first face your child will see each morning as she operates the carline at arrival and dismissal. This gives parents direct access to her for any concerns or to notify the school of home changes or important information.
She has two kids that both attended and graduated from Precious People Preschool. With several years of experience being in the parent role of a preschooler and now a few years as director, she tries to keep a balance of love, education, state regulations, and potential parent concerns.

Lead Pre-K Teacher: Miss Violet
Miss Violet has been with the preschool for many years, starting as a parent. Later her role changed from parent to aid/floater and then to lead teacher in 2020. Miss Violet is best known in our preschool for her love of science and all things nature.
Miss Violet also loves to bring experiences to the students. These include but aren’t limited to karate, bee keeping, a variety of animals, a mailman, snare drum, balance beam, incubating eggs in the classroom, a firefighter, and more. Everyone loves the opportunities she provides for her students and the preschool.
